Description
HOW THIS MEDICINE SHOULD BE STORED?
Keep in original closed container in a dark, cool, and dry place away from children. Discard unneeded medicine.
Other Common Side Effects:
Skin rash; Gas; Diarrhea.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE,
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.

WHY IS IT PRESCRIBED?
To replace potassium losses caused by certain diseases or as a result of taking some drugs, such as diuretics.
HOW MEDICINE IS ADMINISTERED?
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
* TAKE after meals.
* This medicine should be taken WITH a full glass of water (6-8oz).
* Swallow whole, unless otherwise directed by your physician. DO NOT crush or chew.
* Effervescent preparation: Dissolve in at least 4 oz of water. Allow fizzing to finish before drinking.
* POWDER: Dissolve in at least 4 oz of water or juice.
* LIQUID: Dilute in at least 4 to 8 oz. of water. Take after meals. SIP SLOWLY.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE?
Take or Use when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS:
* Safety of use during pregnancy has not been established. This medicine SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY unless benefit
justifies potential risk to the fetus. CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
* EXTENDED RELEASE TABLET: The extended release coating is not absorbed in the stomach and may visible in the stool. This is
normal.
* DO NOT USE salt substitutes containing potassium without consulting your doctor.
Stop taking this medicine and notify your doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience:
Nausea; Vomiting; Unusual tiredness or weakness; Stomach discomfort or pain; Burning pain, tingling, or numbness.
